Booking Terms & Conditions

Please read the following Booking Terms and Conditions carefully, as they incorporate the basis upon which bookings are accepted by Singapore Airlines Holidays.

Changes in prices and itineraries: All prices are in Australian dollars except where noted. All offers are subject to availability and change without notice. If we have to change your booking or part of it for reasons beyond our control, such as airline schedule changes, or a hotel that is overbooked, we will endeavour to notify you. If your holiday costing increases as a result of those circumstances, or if the holiday is materially different from that originally booked, with respect to that for which we have already accepted your deposit or balance payment, you have the right to ask for a rearrangement, or to withdraw from the holiday. Monies already paid will be refunded, less any charges levied by suppliers.

Goods and Service Tax (GST): All prices are inclusive of Australian GST where applicable.

Deposits and Final Payments: Where immediate payment is not required at the time of booking a non-refundable deposit is payable within 7 days of confirmation of your booking. You will be advised at the time of booking, if any additional requirements apply. Failure to pay the deposit within the required period may result in auto-cancellation of the booking. Full payment is required at least 45 days prior to departure. The due date for full payment will be advised at the time of booking. If the balance is not received by this due date, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled, and apply the appropriate cancellation charges. An amendment of your travel booking will incur amendment fees of $25 per passenger in addition to any fees levied by suppliers such as airlines, hotels or ground/cruise operators. Additional booking fees may apply depending on supplier or destination.

Booking Fee: A service fee may apply to certain bookings depending on supplier or destination.

Credit Card Fee: A 1.4% credit card usage fee applies.

Late Bookings: Bookings made within 45 days of departure will only be accepted if full payment is received immediately on confirmation. Bookings made within 7 days of departure will only be accepted on immediate credit card payment.

Courier Fees: Additional courier services may be needed to process late bookings. These courier deliveries will be charged at $25 per time, and added to the price of the booking.

Cancellations and Refunds: Fees will be charged if you cancel or terminate your booking. The fee includes the non-refundable deposit, plus all fees levied by suppliers, up to 100% of the holiday price (including airfare cancellation penalties if applicable.)

Reissue of Travel Documents: If reissue of travel documents is required after the original travel documents have been issued, a fee of $25 will be charged, per person, in addition to any charges levied by the suppliers, such as the airlines, hotels, or ground/cruise operators.

Refunds: There are no refunds available for cancellations made after travel has commenced, or in respect of any tours, accommodation, meals or any other services not used.

Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend, at the time of booking, that you purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy of your choice. Insurance is available which provides coverage for occurrences such as Loss of Deposit through Cancellation, Loss or Damage to Personal Baggage, Loss of Money and Medical Expenses.

Baggage: Passengers are entitled to carry on board one piece of cabin baggage size restrictions apply. Generally passengers are entitled to check in one piece of baggage however please refer to your chosen airline for confirmation. Please note that size and weight restrictions do apply. Any excess baggage charges are the passenger's responsibility.

Airfare Conditions: Some airfares have limited validity or/and must be booked and paid for in full, by a certain date. For applicable airfare conditions, please ask at the time of booking. Failure to meet these requirements may result in a cancellation of the airline booking.

Passports, Visas and Health: All international passengers require a Passport, and it is the responsibility of each passenger to have a Passport and appropriate Visas valid for the entire duration of their trip. Passengers should check with the embassies or consulates of the countries to which they intend to travel, for any entry, exit or visa requirements and shall be responsible for all those requirements. Please note that many countries will not allow entry if there is less than 6 months validity left on a passport. Please contact your local medical service for up to date health advice relating to your travels.

Customer Comments: Should be lodged in writing with supporting documentation to your Travel Agent or directly to Singapore Airlines Holidays, within 30 days of return from travelling.

Singapore Airlines Holidays sells travel in Australia and is subject to the laws of New South Wales. Depending on the holiday, these holidays are operated by the Company or by associated entities. In the absence of their own negligence, neither Singapore Airlines Holidays nor its agents or co-operating organisations shall be responsible for any cancellations or for acts of any other service providers concerned, or diversions or substitution of equipment, or any act, variations, postponements, omissions of default whatsoever. Singapore Airlines Holidays or its agents or co-operating organisations are not responsible for any criminal conduct by any third parties.

IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS

Agent: We act as a licenced travel agent only. We sell various travel related products on behalf of numerous transport and accommodation service providers, such as airlines, coach, rail and cruise line operators. Our obligation to you is to make bookings on your behalf and to arrange relevant contracts between you and the travel service providers.
We have no responsibility for these services, nor do we have authority to make any warranty or representation regarding their standard.
All bookings are subject to terms and conditions and limitations of liability imposed by these service providers.
Your legal recourse is against the specific provider not the travel agent.

Liability: We always do our best to make sure your holiday arrangements are satisfactory. However, we cannot accept any liability of whatever nature, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, for the acts, omissions or default whether negligent or otherwise, of these service providers, over whom we have no direct control. Under circumstances where liability cannot be excluded, such liability is limited to the value of the purchased travel arrangements.
We do not accept any liability in contract, tort or otherwise for any injury, damage, loss, delay, additional expense or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by force majeure or any other event which is beyond our control or which is not preventable by reasonable diligence on our part. In particular, but without limitation to these conditions, we accept no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury you suffer as a result of terrorism, war (including civil-war), coup, riot, civil disturbance or any type of criminal act. It is your responsibility to inform yourself about the safety and security situation in the places you are travelling to. We strongly recommend you obtain travel advisory information from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade website (www.dfat.gov.au).

Insurance: Insurance is strongly recommended when you travel. Please check your policy for conditions on the above risks.

Passports: All individuals departing from Australia must be in possession of a valid passport. It is your responsibility to ensure you have valid travel documentation, including but not limited to passports and visas, which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities at every destination. Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be your sole responsibility.

Non Transferable: It should be noted that documents issued are non - transferable. Such documents may include but are not limited to, airline tickets, hotel vouchers, tour vouchers or any other document used to confirm an arrangement with a service provider. Such documents may also be subject to conditions such as, but not limited to, being non-refundable non-date changeable and subject to cancellation or amendment fees.

Credit Card Transactions: If for any reason, any travel service provider is unable to provide the services for which you have contracted, your remedy lies against that provider, and not against the travel agent. In event that payment has been made to us by Credit Card, you agree that you will not seek to charge back your payment to the travel agent. All payments made by credit card to us are done so with the authority of the primary cardholder.

Privacy Policy: We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the National Privacy Principles. We maintain the privacy of your information and are not involved in selling or trading your personal information. From time to time we may use the services of contractors or third parties and these external providers are under contractual agreement not to disclose information and to keep it confidential and secure.

Price Variations: We reserve the right to vary published fares in the event of fluctuations in the exchange rate or price increases made by service providers. All prices are subject to availability and can be withdrawn or varied without notice.
